Requirement:

Portal and mobile web applications with offline functionality.

The Goals:

The client wanted an application for offline work where the employees could add project attributes, take pictures of machines, and when they get a stable internet connection, sync all data between two versions of the application. The portal application is used only by admins to add projects and attributes that employees don’t have access to.

The client specifically wanted this project to be done with jQuery so they could continue to maintain application by themselves, despite our best efforts to convince them to use a more modern approach (like React). Building applications with plain JavaScript and jQuery made our task harder.

We had to implement our own take on component structure modeled after modern libraries and frameworks. We implemented some basic lifecycle hooks, used toolchains (webpack, plugins for importing HTML, js and CSS files, etc). As identity providers, we used keycloak.
