The application was to work offline for presentation purposes for the Belgrade Car Show, and need to be easily portable to different platforms because there was no access to the device it’s going to be deployed to, which made testing problematic.
The functionality of the application consisted of showing available options for buying, leasing and renting cars. It would be running on a large touchscreen placed on a car show floor of Porsche group. The client was uncertain whether the device would be running Android or Windows operating system, so we decided to use React to build a web application and later wrap it with either Cordova for Android or Electron for Windows platform. Since we didn’t have access to the device for testing, building it as a web application made development easier as well. The application was later adapted for the car show in Skopje by changing the language of the application and car selection.
